At March 24 sitting of the National Assembly, the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Code in the first reading, which presented the RA Deputy Minister Armen Hovhannisyan.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Sergey Atomyan proposed to vote for it.

The Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Edvard Hovhannisyan presented for debate in the first reading the legislative package on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code and on Making Addenda to the RA Law on RA Holiday and Memorial Days. As a result of legal regulations being designed by the draft law, more attractive system of the taxpayers’ encouragement is expected to invest. Its aim is to boost the development of the taxpayers’ self-assessment, which would result in tax and customs discipline4, as well as the rise of the transparency of the transparency of the tax and customs bodies’ activities and the formation of the atmosphere of the trust towards the tax body. It is proposed to establish April 19 Taxpayer’s Day.

Presenting the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Gevorg Papoyan highlighted the citizens’ attitude towards the law-abiding and non-law-abiding taxpayers. “The society should support the law-abiding taxpayers. The consumers should give preference to law-abiding taxpayers,” the MP said.

The MPs expressed viewpoints in relation to the issue.

The draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Code authored by the NA deputies Vahe Enfiajyan, Baira Zohrabyan, Iveta Tonoyan, the law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Criminal Procedure Code and the package designing addenda and amendments to the enclosed other laws.
